Volunteering At Worcester County Food Bank

NOTICE: We recognize that COVID-19 restrictions are lifting in Massachusetts and we are so happy about that.  In order to continue to give our current volunteers the space to social distance, we are not offering new volunteer opportunities at this time.  For more, see below.

Volunteers help sort and inspect donated food, assist our Partner Agency representatives to locate the items they need for their programs and, sometimes, even help out around the office.

Last year, volunteers gave over 4,998 hours – the equivalent of almost eight months’ worth of work – to WCFB.

Individual Volunteers

While WCFB is not accepting new individual or group volunteers at this time, we would be happy to connect you to volunteering opportunities throughout our Hunger-Free Network. Please fill out the Volunteer Inquiry Form and someone from Worcester County Food Bank will get back to you.

Group Volunteers

NOTICE:  We appreciate your interest in having your group volunteer at WCFB. In order to continue accommodating social distancing in our warehouse, we are still not taking on new groups of volunteers at this time.

If your group would be interested in finding out about volunteer opportunities with one of our Partner Agencies, please click here and enter your zip code.

If you have any questions, please contact Erin O’Brien.

At Partner Agencies

Many of the food pantries and community meal programs we work with rely on consistent, committed volunteers. We may be able to direct you to one of them.
